LAHORE: Non-Resident Pakistani 2008 Summit will be held in New York, USA from August 22nd to 23rd this year.
The two-day event will be attended by business entrepreneurs world-wide while dozen of leading tycoons of Pakistani industry are being invited exclusively, said Shaukat Mehmood, Chairman Non-Resident Pakistani Business Association in America while speaking to media-persons here at the Lahore Press Club on Tuesday. Besides Chairman Senate Mohammad Mian Soomro, he said, the forthcoming Summit would be a global gathering of Non-Resident Pakistani and Pakistani political business and professional elites.
He said that since Pakistan's image in America was not good, the summit would help dismiss the impression besides improving country's economy. "It will develop the strategic insight and direction needed to fore a future of growth and progress in Pakistan and among NRPs through out the world, Shaukat said.
